1st Day: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges:

Begin your Erg Chebbi from Ouarzazate by morning departure from your hotel in a 4×4 air-conditioned car toward Dades Gorges. The first scheduled stop of our trip will be at Skoura Oasis, well known for its huge palm groves, local agriculture, and the beautiful Kasbah Amredhil, which you will visit.

From here, we continue to Kel’aa M’gouna, where we stop to visit the locally made cosmetic products in the co-operatives and have a glass of tea and a walk in the Valley of the Roses. Shortly after, we drive off-track along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Dades Gorges which will be the venue for lunch.

In the afternoon, there will be opportunities to walk alongside the riverbank and to explore the garden fields and the famous canyons. We continue to the Toudgha Gorges, where you will have dinner and spend the overnight in a beautiful guesthouse at the edge of the valley.

2nd Day: Dades Gorges – Merzouga:

After breakfast, there will be time to take a walk by the gorges before driving to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, along the beautiful Ziz Valley, and via the Oasis of Tafilalet and arrive in Erfoud in time for lunch.

After lunch a visit is scheduled for the fossil artifacts exhibits, there is no obligation to buy but it is worth exploring. In the afternoon, we continue driving east beyond Rissani, the last town before the Sahara Desert.

After a relaxing glass of mint tea and Moroccan biscuits, an hour to an hour and a half camel ride leads to the wind-blown dunes of Erg Chebbi. At the summit of the dunes, enjoy a moment of pure peacefulness and an awesome spectacle of the sunset.

At night, dinner will be served followed by a Berber musical play and an overnight in your private nomad tent in a desert camp among the dunes.

3rd Day: Merzouga – Ouarzazate:

Get up early in the morning and you will be reward by an amazing spectacle of the sunrise. After breakfast, there will the opportunity for a second camel ride and time to walk around the dunes.

Shortly after, we drive to Ouarzazate, passing by many Berber villages; Rissani, Alnif, Tazzarine (featured in the movie of ‘Babel’), and N’Qob which will be the venue for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will drive through Dra’a Valley’s huge palm groves and green oases and via the ancient road of the caravans, full of adobe-built housing and ancient kasbahs, most notably Kasbah Tamnougalte, which you will visit with a local guide.

Back on the paved road, drive to Agdz where we stop for a tea or a coffee break. We cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tinfifite pass to arrive back at Ouarzazate.
