1st day: Agadir – Ouarzazate

Your Agadir to Erg Chagaga desert tour starts by the departure in the morning from your hotel in a 4×4 air-conditioned car. Our first scheduled stop will be Taroudant, “the little Marrakech” to explore the town.

Our desert trip continues to Ouarzazate through Berber villages admiring the landscapes. All along the way, there will be plenty of stops at panoramic viewpoints to take photos and to take breaks.

After lunch in a restaurant by the side of the Salt River with amazing views of the Kasbah, we take an hour to explore Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that set the scene for many Hollywood blockbusters, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and the famous TV show Game of Thrones.

After a worthwhile visit to the kasbah, we continue to Ouarzazate, stopping by the Film Studios and at panoramic views to admire the Castle and film set that we built to shoot movies and series such as Vikings before arriving in Ouarzazate. savor dinner and spend the night in a beautiful riad.

2nd day: Ouarzazate – M’hamid

Following breakfast in your riad, we continue our desert trip over the Anti-Atlas Mountains and via the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass. Along the drive on the Anti-Atlas Mountains, at panoramic views points, there will be stops to admire the magical setting of the Dra’a Valley with its enormous palm trees, ancient kasbahs situated in the midst of the valley.

Once in Agdz, after a walk in the Dra’a Valley to explore a bit of nature and get a glimpse of the local life, a visit is scheduled to Kasbah Tamnougalte.

We continue driving along the Dra’a Valley that, the biggest valley in Morocco, to arrive at Zagora, the largest and last oasis before the desert. After lunch in Zagora, we stop in Tamegroute to visit the cooperative of green potteries and the old library with books dating to the 11th century.

Having arrived in M’hamid, the gate of the Sahara Desert, a Dromedary caravan awaits you. You will take a one to two hours camel ride to join the camp. Enjoy wonderful sunset from the top of the dunes.

In the evening, dinner is served in your private tent, followed by an evening of nomad music and drumming and an overnight in a nomad tent at the foot of the dunes.

3rd day: M’hamid – Erg Chagaga Dunes

After a relaxing breakfast at the camp, there is the opportunity to walk in the sand dunes. Shortly after, your Agadir to Erg Chagaga desert tour continues to the largest Sahara Desert sandy dunes of Erg Chagaga. We drive for a 65 km off-road across sand dunes, oasis, and hamada to arrive in Erg Chagaga Dunes.

Here, you can take a second camel ride for an hour to an hour and a half. From the top of the dunes (300 m high), enjoy the spectacle of the sunset.

Enjoy a moment of pure peacefulness in a magical setting where the dunes stretch as far as you can see. Dinner is served in your private tent followed by an evening of Berber music and overnight in a nomad tent.

4th day: Erg Chagaga Dunes – Agadir

If you get up early in the morning and climb up to the top of the summit of the dunes, you can watch the spectacle of the beautiful sunrise. After breakfast, we drive through a 90 km of off-road with a stop in Lake Iriqui to search for fossils for enthusiasts. Lunch will be served in Foum Zguid, the first village after the Sahara Desert.

From here, we continue driving north past the hills and oases of palm trees as far as Taznakht, a small Berber village known for its rugs and Berber carpets.

Our desert adventure continues to Agadir, passing Taliouine, Safran, and then Taroudant with its red ramparts and souks. We arrive at Agadir in the afternoon.
